Information surrounding corporate background, reports, and policies

Established on January 1, 2010 under the Alberta Research and Innovation Act, Alberta Innovates Bio Solutions is a member of the Alberta Innovates family and reports to the Minister of Alberta Enterprise and Advanced Education.

As prescribed in the Roles and Mandate document, AI Bio's mandate is to help "… further research and innovation in the province and make Alberta more competitive in the global economy. AI Bio will meet the research and innovation priorities of the Government by providing leadership and coordination for research and innovation that supports the growth and diversification of Alberta's agriculture, forest and life sciences sectors."
